Cues & Tattoos (3yrs) plus “Improv Experiment” via Janice Solimeno at Cues
and Tattoos 2009 - where dancers of different Tribal dance vocabularies came
together and performed without rehearsal - the one common denominator,
the basic FCBD vocabulary with slight variations.
So, she finds herself back “home” with the FCBD® format. Home is where
the heart is, so Nancy opted to make it so.
She is certified by Carolena Nericcio, Founder/Director/Master Teacher of
FatChanceBellyDance® in her General Skills Certification and her American
Tribal Style® Teacher Certification and is Western Washington’s
FatChanceBellyDance® Sister Studio.

Nancy aka “icy” has danced all her life, but
found her way into belly dance in late 2001
while attending a wedding in Bellevue, WA.
FatChanceBellyDance® was enchanting and
mesmerizing; and Nancy was drawn into their
performance completely - it was so
unexpected. Early on in 2002, Nancy started
down her path into ATS/Tribal belly dance and
in 2009 founded ucanto bellydance.
Nancy learned a mixture of vocabularies within
the Tribal community allowing her to
perform in a wide variety of events
comfortably – both internationally and
locally, with troupes and soloing, from
private parties to large international
festivals and in promotional videos.
Performances include Folklife Festival,
Seattle Center (3yrs); Tribal Quest NW
(4yrs); Tribal Fest; Tribal Crush w/Sharon
Kihara and Tribal Crush 2 w/Rachel Brice
